Midweek Meditation

“The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. To dig for treasures shows not only impatience and greed, but lack of faith. Patience, patience, patience, is what the sea teaches. Patience and faith. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach—waiting for a gift from the sea.”
~  Anne Morrow Lindbergh, Gift from the Sea

  1. The photograph and the words are lovely - thank you!

  2. Great quote and what a beautiful picture! It's time for a trip to the sea, I think.

  3. Hi Linda and Dixie. I am glad to hear that you like the photo. I took it on a trip to Grand Cayman Island, November 2011, during a high surf warning. (Because of the surf, I did not get to go on a planned submarine ride. A few great photos of surf and sea foam were my "gift from the sea" on that vacation:-)
